The joys of spring!!

Thanksgiving Point-Tulip Festival
We enjoyed walking around the seeing the breathtaking colors of tulips.

Hannah tried her hand in gardening..she pulled a plant down on top of her. This picture is after I have cleaned her up. She was camouflaged under all the soil. She thought it was great when she discovered the chewy foam in her mouth. Oh what fun!!
These are a few the the tulips in our yard. We bought some bulbs last year when Thanksgiving Point did their sale of all the tulips they had for the festival. It was fun to see what colors we ended up with. We had a great variety of purple, white, light/dark pink, red, orange) I can't wait to see what next year brings as they mature.

Yes that would be a snake. This is one of the not so lovely joys of spring. We has seen 2 bull/garden snakes on a regular basis in our yard. I am not up on my snakes so I am not sure what type it is.

LDS General Conference

Robert and I were able to go to the Sunday Morning Session of conference. Robert's parents watched Hannah while we went. It is always nice to be in the building with Prophets and apostles. We also enjoyed the beauty of the building.

Celebrations!!

Happy 1st Birthday Hannah!!!

We had a small party for Hannah. Aleasha's mom and grandma came down for Hannah's birthday. We also has a few of her friend from church that we do weekly play dates with. Hannah's Nona and Grandpa Baker and Grandma Suzy got to participate via Skype.
Hannah enjoyed exploring with Spring Grass and her eggs. We covered them and loved taking the grass off little by little and uncovering them.  Aleasha put different items (rice, coins, pasta, etc) in the eggs and glued them closed. She loved shaking them.

Portland Trip

Hannah's first plane ride..I was nervous about this but there was no reason to be. The flight was empty so Hannah had her own seat. She loved being able to eat off the tray and play with her toys. She also captured the attention of the stewardesses.
Hannah loved the beach..We explored around Haystack rock and she played with her first sea shells.
Robert and I took at walk on the beach while Hannah was napping. It was beautiful but VERY windy.
We visited the inside of the Columbia ship. It was amazing to see how the inside was set up.
At the top of the Astoria, Oregon Column. It give a beautiful view of the area at the top of the 164 steps. Hannah decided to throw her pacifier off the top of it. Amazingly it was all in one piece when we found it on the way down.
Eating dinner in Cannon Beach!! Love this view and this girl.
Hannah took her first ride on a Merry Go Round. She liked it until it started. Aleasha ended up holding her the rest of the ride.
Hannah and her great-aunt MerrilLynn. We loved our time with her.
Our last night we stayed at a hotel in Portland and enjoyed some places there before getting on the plane the next day. Our room had an awesome table that Hannah loved playing in. It was her own little space. I really want one for our house.
We could help but order dessert at our hotel. Amazing creme brulee and "Candy Bar cake"
Amazing view from our hotel room. It was great to watch the boats going by in them morning. We also took a walk along the river. Truly breathtaking!!

Hannah and her dad. Hanging out at Jack's place. It overlooks Portland and you can see Mt. St Helen's and Mt. Hood. Amazing view!!
We went by the Portland Temple. There were beautiful flowers everywhere.
We took at the tram in Portland. Beautiful view of the city!
